Notes for Maldives #1 2016 (12)

[a] No frame- or site-matched gold standard: the 2016 bleaching sheets (maps/maldives_map_build/bleaching_stats_2016.json) are April/July 2016 transects at other Baa/Raa/Gaafu Alifu sites, not these January 2016 dives (backlog: 'partial: no Jan-2016 benthic transect data found').
[b] Not applicable: no CoralNet source / hand annotations of Anderson's Maldives photos exist (wide search 2026-09-29; the only Maldives CoralNet source found is an outside project).
[c] DINOv3 (in-house, frozen Alor/Indonesia model) = mean hard-coral probability over 20 synthesized points per photo, NO water/fish class, so not a benthic denominator (from the map build's hard_coral_cover_by_site.csv).
[d] GENUINELY NOT RUN: no Coralscapes v1/v2 output for the Maldives on disk or recorded on the external drive (wide search 2026-09-29).
[e] Not applicable: both Maldives trips are EDITED sets (EDITED_UNEDITED_RULES.md); no unedited originals staged.
[f] CoralSCOP = per-frame sum of colony-mask area fractions (zero-filled; overlapping masks double-count), averaged over frames with an ok row. Area index, not a point count: denominator differs from any point-count reference.
